The Zippo Manufacturing Company was founded in Pennsylvania, in 1932. Its famous lighter owes its name to another product that was conceived at that time and was enjoying great success: the zipper, called zipper in English. The varied line of Zippo products continues to grow and now includes accessories for lighters, multi-purpose butane gas lighters, men's and women's fragrances, lifestyle accessories, eyewear and products for outdoor enthusiasts.
