Pollini's business began in 1953 in San Mauro Pascoli, small town in the Romagna hinterland, thanks to its presence in these places of expert shoe artisans who contributed over time to make it a real footwear district. In a short time the brand acquired fame and notoriety starting an industrial scale production that opened the doors also to the world of bags.
